The services provided by the HSSC are multi-faceted in their applications, dependant on the specific need of the client. The bilingual character of the Association stems from history and culture. Bilingualism facilitates communication among main stream providers and clients in accessing existing services.
This bilingual characteristic facilitates providers and consumers in servicing the needs of first and second generation immigrant monolingual and limited English proficient communities in maintaining and supporting healthy development toward integration into American Culture and Society.
Through its network of State and County providers the HSSC is able to address the needs of children and families; Seniors, as well as the general population in a wide genre of existing services. The HSSC serves as an active advocate and case manager in representing its clients in seeking equity and social justice.
