Preamble:We, citizens of the United States of America, residents of the State of New Jersey, Known as Spanish Americans by virtue of origin and language, do hereby unite and resolve in common purpose to form a permanent, non-profit institution to be known by the name of “ Spanish American Social Cultural Association of New Jersey.” This association was organized initially by a group of citizens from the communities of Pemberton, Browns Mills, Mount Holly and Willingboro on December 12, 1971.
The objectives of the Spanish American Social Cultural Association of New Jersey (hereinafter Association or S.A.S.C.A.), as defined, shall be fraternal, patriotic, social, cultural and educational; with a common goal to achieve identity and status within the general social, cultural, economic and education framework of communities in the State of New Jersey.
The Association through the establishment of the Hispanic Social Service, (hereinafter defined as H.S.S.C.) is the mechanism which provides direct and indirect services to the Hispanic Community of Burlington County as well as the general population to assist needy community members with social, cultural and economic educational and other legitimate functions to foster the welfare of the community within the framework of lawful procedures.
The organization has assisted approximately 120,000 individuals and families in its 40 years of existence while, remaining faithful to its mission in assisting and supporting families to achieve self-sufficiency.
